For Cake Day 2013, I led minyan with my friend who identifies as demisexual.
Hang on, let me rewind...
*rewinding sounds, flashback plays from autumn, 2012
It was a dark and stormy night (actually I don't know what the weather was) and I was chatting with my 2 friends. One sent us her tumblr url, so I read the bio, saw she identified as asexual, and then said "you're asexual" (I'm clever, I know.) Anyways she directed me to an asexuality FAQ and I thought, hey that sorta fits me bc I don't like kissing and I don't really want sex, like when I think of a person who I have a crush on, I daydream about baking and watching old disney-pixar movies with them. So I was questioning for like a month and then I told that same friend how I felt and I figured out that I was indeed ace.
*fast forward back to present time
Anyways, I was leading minyan and it wasn't going as planned and people weren't understanding the different types of attraction and then were trying to convince everyone that certain types weren't real and it was a mess and not going well at all. So I got agitated and started explaining how I felt these sort of things and didn't even really think about it but I guess I came out as ace to my minyan...
Anyways, that was my most notable coming out story.
